Rhonda Hornsby, LCSW
Rhonda Hornsby, LCSW, is the Director of Social Services in the Department of Psychiatry at Shodair Children's Hospital.
A native of Wyoming, Rhonda received her both undergraduate degree and her master's degree in social work from the University of Wyoming in Laramie. She did her graduate internships with a concentration on outpatient services at locations in Cheyenne, Rock Springs, and Laramie. Rhonda began her career by working with Wyoming families enrolled in the Head Start Program. She then provided out-patient mental health services, followed by working in Wyoming's school districts as a social worker. Rhonda then moved to Las Vegas, where she worked for the State of Nevada for several years, providing early intervention and supervision services. Rhonda also has experience in working with military families.
In 2011, Rhonda began her career at Shodair Children's Hospital as a primary therapist on the hospital's acute unit. She has a special interest in early intervention and incorporating a family-based approach to therapeutic treatment of children. As Director of Social Services, Rhonda supervises a clinical team of eight other therapists at Shodair.
Rhonda has received many awards, including those for academic achievement, professional excellence, and leadership.
