Carly has focused her career in child & adolescent psychiatric nursing. Carly began pursuing her passion, working with children with mental health needs, including trauma based disorders, in 2007 when she began working on the High Desert Unit at Shodair Children’s Hospital, caring for children ages 3 -11. Since this time, Carly has been a Nurse Manager on both the Yellowstone and Grasslands Units. She is currently in the positon of Program Director on the Grasslands Acute Unit; caring for adolescents, ages 12-18, who are experiencing acute mental health crises. Carly is dedicated in the pursuit of suicide prevention and education, trauma informed care, program development, and contributing to a culture of compassion and safety.
Carly graduated from Carroll College with her Bachelor of Arts in Nursing. She currently serves as a Youth Mental Health First Aid Trainer, as well as a representative on Montana’s Premature Death Prevention Taskforce.
