Jeffrey Edelman

Board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Clinical Nurse Specialist

Jeffrey is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner and clinical nurse specialist with over two decades of experience providing advanced psychiatric care across diverse settings, including hospital, correctional, community, and combat environments. A Yale-educated clinician, he has specialized expertise in trauma, crisis intervention, and child and adolescent psychiatry. He joined Shodair at the end of 2024, and works on the inpatient side of the hospital. Jeff is a decorated U.S. Army veteran with distinguished service in Iraq and Afghanistan, where he developed and led mental health programs in high-intensity environments. He has also founded and directed multiple behavioral health clinics, demonstrating a strong track record in clinical leadership, program development, and integrated psychiatric care. He is currently seeking a leadership or advanced clinical role where he can continue to make a meaningful impact.
