Pat Kenny is a psychological resident at Shodair. As he works toward licensure as a psychologist, he supports the hospitals mission by providing group therapy, psychological assessment, and admissions interviews. He has also worked as an individual therapist on the residential unit. After moving many times for school, he and his family were excited to move to Helena to be closer to his wife’s parents and the mountains.
Pat earned his doctorate in School and Clinical Psychology from James Madison University. He completed an APA accredited internship at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul Minnesota. Pat has experience working as an individual therapist with people from age 11-75, in both inpatient and outpatient settings. He enjoys running groups, and continuing to learn more about psychological assessment. When not at work, Pat is usually reading to his daughter or enjoying time outside (preferably in the snow).
