As of July 15, 2024, Shodair Genetics Laboratory will provide maternal cell contamination (MCC) studies as a free-of-charge companion test on all prenatal testing when a maternal sample is received with the prenatal sample. Please contact our laboratory at 406-444-7532 for more information, or refer to our current Genetic Test Request Form.

Our Medical Genetics Team

. . .

Shodair’s Medical Genetics Program provides Montana’s only comprehensive care for children and adults with genetic conditions. A team composed of a genetics clinician (MD or nurse practitioner who specializes in genetics) and a genetic counselor provides comprehensive services, including diagnostic evaluation, care coordination, and risk assessment. Our laboratory provides state-of-the-art testing for genetic conditions, and a geneticist is also involved in the test analysis, allowing for seamless care integration that benefits the patients as well as their families. Our team also includes a licensed clinical psychologist to provide neuropsychological assessments when indicated and a registered dietician to help our patients with certain genetic conditions manage nutritional challenges.
