Ropes Course at Shodair

The Allied Therapy Department at Shodair Children’s Hospital focuses on helping patients have successful experiences through different recreational and leisure interests. The ropes course is one of the experiences offered where children learn how to process choices, to be self-advocates as well as being a support to other members of the group.

Challenge by Choice

. . .

The Ropes Course at Shodair teambuilding experience utilizes the principles of “Challenge by Choice.” Given that many of the challenge course elements put people in places outside of their comfort zone, the philosophy revolves around each individual having the choice to choose their limitations. This recognizes that for each of us, success is based on personal aspirations.

Corporate Teambuilding

. . .

Shodair is excited to offer the Ropes Course at Shodair to our community friends and partners!  Participation will provide an excellent teambuilding experience and can assist groups in conquering challenges and overcoming obstacles that easily translate into the work environment.  It requires individuals to assess what they need to be successful and the opportunity to communicate that to their peer group for support.

Meet our Team

. . .

The Ropes Course at Shodair staff are trained, professional, skilled employees that receive annual continuing education on the technical skills needed to safely conduct sessions on the course.  The Ropes Course at Shodair is actively used by our patients as an integral part of Allied Therapy.
