Kelly Haugen
Psychologist
Dr. Kelly Haugen joined Shodair’s outpatient team as psychologist in November 2020. She works on the outpatient team providing psychological assessment and therapy. She also conducts testing for youth on our acute and residential units as needed. She considers herself a Montana native, attended MSU (go CATS), and previously worked on Shodair’s Glacier unit as a therapist.
Dr. Haugen earned her doctorate degree from Pacific University specializing in child and adolescent clinical psychology. She completed her APA accredited internship at Casa Pacifica, a youth residential treatment center in southern California, and her residency at Oregon Youth Authority, a juvenile corrections center. Dr. Haugen has experience providing individual, group, and family therapy as well as various types of psychological assessment. She has worked in settings including acute inpatient, residential, community outpatient, juvenile detention, and juvenile corrections. She also has experience providing comprehensive medical readiness evaluations to transgender youth seeking gender affirming care. In her free time, Dr. Haugen enjoys spending time with family, outdoor recreation (particularly flyfishing), and advocating for social justice and marginalized populations.
